Rachel SommerThe first time I walked into the lobby of the Kravis Center, I was so impressed with its grandeur and beauty that I knew I would return again and again. And I did and still do! First it was with my sister Marcia who loved to attend the Broadway series; now it is to volunteer my time. In the fall of 2007 I started my volunteer career as an usher and a tour guide at the Center. It's fun to share the Center's history with everyone who comes to take a tour, especially when they get a chance to stand on the Marden Stage and to look out into the expanse of 2,195 red seats in Dreyfoos Hall. What a thrilling experience! I'm proud of the Kravis Center and love to show it off to visitors. Being a member of the volunteer organization is like having an extended family; we work together and enjoy helping customers have a memorable time. I became a member of the Helen K. Persson Society with a donation to the Permanently Restricted Endowment Fund to honor my beloved sister Marcia Leff. It is a wonderful feeling to give back to a place she loved, and that I love, and that we both want others to love too.
