Joyce T. YeckesI grew up in the swing era with a dream of singing with a big band. Musical lyrics to me are like poetry is to a bard. Yes, I did enjoy several years in Manhattan performing, and I believe it was my participation in the arts that has made me appreciate the blessings of being able to be a patron of the arts. My late husband, Arthur and I annually wintered in Palm Beach in the 1960's and we delighted in attending musical performances at the Royal Poinciana Playhouse. In subsequent years, we became Florida residents and watched with great anticipation the Kravis Center being built. Since the opening of its doors in 1992, my family and I have received great enjoyment from sitting in Dreyfoos Hall and watching the world-class entertainment take place on stage. So much so that in 2010, I declared my support of the arts and dedicated a seat in the hall as part of the "Please Be Seated "program. My gift to the Helen K. Persson Society through the Arthur and Joyce Yeckes Charitable Trust honors my husband's memory and his generous philanthropic spirit. I invite you to share your blessings in your personal way by supporting the future of the Kravis Center through a lifetime or deferred gift from your estate to the Helen K. Persson Endowment Fund. Your heart will sing forever, mine does.
