John D. HerrickEver since my high school days at Cretin High School in St. Paul, Minnesota, the arts have played an important role in my life. Cretin High always had a strong arts program and I was fortunate to experience several facets of the performing arts there, including being leader of the chorus for Victor Herbert's light opera, The Red Mill. During my career at General Mills, whether in England, Canada or the United States, I enjoyed attending the performing arts as well as supporting them with my time, talent and treasure. I first fell in love with Florida during my Air Force days in Miami and Palm Beach and several years later made the decision to choose Palm Beach County as my home. For the past 18 years, I have delighted in being a part of the Kravis family and look forward each season to attending the many performances and social events that engage and enrich our community.

One could say I have the best of both worlds since I enjoy the cultural and epicurean delights in West Palm Beach and live within walking distance to the Kravis Center. It has always been my philosophy that one pays back to the community for the riches one receives, and so several years ago I made the decision to include the Kravis Center in my estate plan. I am delighted to be a member of the Helen K. Persson Society and to know that future generations will have the opportunity to receive the joy and inspiration that comes from experiences both as young artists and audiences of the performing arts at the Kravis Center.
