Ever since 1995, when Jerry and I moved to Palm Beach County, the Kravis Center has played an important role in our lives. Coming from the Chicago area, we have always enjoyed the cultural happenings that enrich our lives.
It would break my heart if children could not experience the performing arts at the Kravis Center. As a former elementary school teacher, I have seen firsthand how children’s exposure and participation in artistic expression is an important element to encourage positive behavioral attributes that can last a lifetime. From my years as a Board Member and chair of the Education Committee, I know how important the education program is to the quality of the lives of children and their families who live in our community, especially for students who attend Title I schools. The Kravis Center’s education program that helps teachers integrate the arts into academic studies such as math, science, and history is a well-researched teaching tool; not easily duplicated, and worthy of the most generous support now and for future generations of school children. As of 2018, our 26th season, the Center has given more than 2.4 million children, their teachers, family members and friends the opportunity to experience the thrill of the performing arts.
It is a great privilege to have the ability to designate a gift to the Permanently Restricted Endowment Fund to ensure that children for generations to come will be able to participate in the Kravis Center’s education programs.
